Lindsey Perkins, LPC

Lindsey holds a master’s degree in Professional Counseling and is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Virginia. To date, her clinical experience includes work in a variety of sectors from community mental health to church-based counseling to private practice. She has a passion for education and has worked as a Clinical Trainer in a Counselor Education program, as well as provides Clinical Supervision for practicum/internship students and Residents in Counseling.

Her areas of competence include attachment, complex post-traumatic stress disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, EMDR, somatic psychotherapy, codependency, boundary issues, anxiety, depression, grief, childhood trauma and abuse.

She also provides couples counseling. Lindsey uses a variety of counseling approaches and techniques to conceptualize problems and solutions within the self, relationships, and family dynamics. These approaches include Eye-Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), cognitive-behavioral therapy, attachment theory, Internal Family Systems, motivational interviewing, somatic-based interventions, and other trauma-informed care.
