Jessica Burnette, LPC

Helping teens and women find hope, healing, and purpose—one conversation at a time.

Life can feel heavy sometimes—whether you’re watching your teen struggle or carrying your own worries quietly. Jessica offers a warm, supportive space where you can feel heard, understood, and encouraged. With over a decade of experience, she’s here to walk alongside you as you take steps toward healing and growth.

Jessica earned her Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Liberty University in 2012 and spent the next 10 years working on the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Unit at Virginia Baptist Hospital. It was during her time at Virginia Baptist Hospital that she developed a deep passion for working with teens and supporting them through the challenges of anxiety, depression, and periods of being emotional overwhelmed. She also loves working with women who feel stuck, anxious, or burned out, helping them reconnect with their sense of peace and purpose.

Jessica works with clients navigating a variety of issues, including:

  • Anxiety and depression
  • Self-harm and suicidal thoughts
  • Mood and behavior disorders
  • Trauma and attachment concerns
  • Boundary issues
  • Parenting struggles and adjustment issues
  • Spiritual issues and faith struggles
  • Emotional overwhelm and life transitions

Her approach is practical, compassionate, and flexible. She uses evidence-based methods, tailored to your unique needs, such as:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
  • Exposure Therapy
  • Motivational Interviewing
  • Trauma-Focused Therapy
  • Christian Counseling (for those who desire a faith-integrated approach)

Jessica is committed to helping clients process and heal from trauma, utilizing trauma-focused therapy to create a safe and supportive environment where individuals can work through past wounds at their own pace. For clients seeking a faith-based perspective, she thoughtfully integrates Scripture, prayer, and spiritual reflection, grounding her approach in both clinical principles and the truth of God’s Word.

“You don’t have to go through this alone. I’d be honored to walk alongside you.” – Jessica

Outside of counseling, Jessica finds joy in her relationship with the Lord, her family, and her local church. She’s been happily married for 11 years and is a proud mom to four wonderful kids. She enjoys reading, good coffee, and spending time outdoors with the people she loves most.
